Personality: » Charismatic From the start of his training, through his fall to the Dark Side and even on to his reawakening and 'reprogramming' by the Jedi Council, Revan has kept his charisma. His ability to inspire and gain the trust of all sides allowed him to gain cult like followings as both a Jedi and a Sith. While he is often credited as being 'unremarkable' in appearance, his strength, intelligence, and natural skills as a leader and tactician helped him to easily impress and gain the trust of his allies and enemies alike. His sense of humor remained intact throughout all phases of his life, even after losing his compassion and mercy to the Dark Side. This humor only helped strengthen his charismatic nature. » Compassionate/Passionate While often plagued by frustration and impatience, Revan's primary motivation through much of his earl life was his compassion and desire to help. It infuriated him to watch politics slow down and ineffectually assist in the problems facing the Republic and the Galaxy at large to the extent that Revan was driven to fighting avidly for action and eventually leading his own collection of Jedi to action against their wishes and orders. His drive and his charisma allowed him to gather like-minded Jedi to his cause with ease. It was this same passion that would later play a role in dragging Revan to the Dark Side: not out of a desire to rule or gather power, but out of his quickly growing fanaticism and ruthlessness. Witnessing the horrors of genocide and massacre in the war against the Mandalorians slowly broke him and intensified his sympathy for the victims of the war and his hunger for justice. His desire to save the Republic and spare further victims from the war compelled Revan into a far more aggressive stance and translated into a willingness to sacrifice lives of innocents and allies in order to defeat his opponents. His compassion shifting from a desire to find a solution or end to the belief that the only solution was for the strong to lead and protect the weak. Possibly a good idea in theory, but in practice, a violent and terrifying addition to the problem. He later regretted this extremism and viewed his actions with disgust, vowing to never use those tactics again. » Determined Revan's determination is such that the man was capable of holding onto life with the Force and refusing to die. His will allowed him to hold his own against far more experienced Jedi and Sith, and earned him the respect and loyalty of other Jedi, Republic soldiers, and even his enemies the Mandalorians. He learned and developed his skills with a strength and speed that earned him recognition as a gifted tactician and Jedi, and his thirst for knowledge and further strength kept him striving to improve well beyond his accomplishments. This same thirst for strength and knowledge later helped facilitate his fall to the Dark Side. » Arrogant The ease and speed with which Revan came into his skills as a Jedi and Tactical Soldier paired with the idolization and willingness to follow him found in his peers did not help Revan's humility. He was aware of his strengths and power, and the way in which others looked to him for leadership and direction. This knowledge and Revan's fierce passion led him to developing an arrogance around his strength and inability to be defeated. While he never lost his desire to learn more, he also believed that he could handle delicate or dangerous matters on his own without taking the advice or knowledge of the Council to heart. They were lazy in his mind, and too willing to sit things out, while Revan was a man of action. » Fractured Revan's mind was fractured by his near death and subsequent re-programming by the Jedi Council. While his personality remains largely intact, his mind is plagued with two sets of memories for two different lives. It is difficult for him to distinguish his life as Revan the Jedi from his life as a Sith Lord and his new life as a Republic Soldier and Jedi Padawan. » Ruthless His time as a frustrated Jedi and later as a Sith Lord whose focus had shifted from compassion, honor and loyalty to merciless strength and a beliefe in the Sith ideals of Rule of the Strong left Revan with a dark streak. His charisma never left him and the allure of his ruthless Dark Side and strength combined with his charisma allowed him to develop into a master manipulator and continue to gather followers from all sides. His Jedi Order values were replaced with bloodlust. While the Jedi Council attempted to wipe these traits from Revan, his damaged mind and identity remain intertwined with his new identity. » Loyal One side effect of the new memories forced into his mind is that Revan's original passion and desire to protect others has resurfaced. His compassion re-emerged and his concern for life has been re-invigorated, but there are still moments in the heat of battle that the ruthless chill of the Sith Lord re-emerges. Powers and Abilities: » Master Tactician & Strategist Revan's skills in battle as a commander and a fighter earned him the respect of his allies and enemies alike. He was viewed as a master of the art of war by many. » Skilled Swordsman Revan's skill with a lightsaber (or two in some instances) allowed him to become one of the greatest duelists of his time and contributed to his skills as a master of combat and war. He could anticipate the actions of his opponents and fought with acrobatic skill. He also crafted multiple lightsabers over the course of his life. » Force User As a Force User Revan was skilled in the use of many force abilities. He was considered the most gifted force user of his time and had exceptional control over both Light and Dark Sides of the Force. He understood the balance between both sides and developed many abilities including: » Pilot Revan is capable of piloting a variety of flying ships » Mechanic Revan had a natural talent for mechanics. His mechanical skills allowed him to repair ships, build his own protocol droid, and build his own lightsabers as well as repair machinery. » Linguist Can speak and comprehend Basic, Mando'a, Binary, Huttese, Shyriiwook, Selkatha & Rakatan.
